Beginning of portfolio

As I begin my journey along this path of playing a scriptwriter, narrator, and film producer, I feel vastly overwhelmed and unprepared for this rather large project. When it comes to technology, I am horrible in regards to cameras and computers, as I have no prior knowledge of scriptwriting and film, which makes me anxious for this project.

Zachary Maxwell eased my anxiety, inspiring me to ponder my thought processes for my two-minute film opening and create a true masterpiece. In his TED talk, Maxwell discusses the impact his films had on his elementary school in New York City, which sparked change in his lunch menu. He goes on to discuss how he aided his little brother Lucas to add a crosswalk for pedestrians, which aids millions of pedestrians every year. Maxwell ends the talk by encouraging his audience to utilize tools such as their computers or laptops, or even just their social media platforms to advocate for change within their local communities.

After viewing this YouTube video, I realized that although our two-minute film opening is part of our portfolio, I will strive to convey my message and spark change within my own film. Additionally, I will utilize technology to the best of my abilities for our two-minute film opening, and attempt to inspire those critiquing my film.
